Six kilometers is the average distance people in the developing world walk for water each day. This water is often contaminated with life-threatening diseases. By signing up to particpate in the 6K, you will be bringing life-changing, clean water to communities in need.

According to World Vision, nearly 1,000 children under age 5 die each day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene. By signing up to participate in the 6K, you will be bringing life-changing, clean water to communities in need.

Participant registrations, corporate sponsorships, and donor gifts total approximately $42.5K from 2020 through 2024. Our goal is to add $15K to that total with proceeds from our 2025 6K.

About Southern Indiana 6K for Water
Southern Indiana 6K for Water was organized in 2020 as a team for World Vision's Global 6K for Water. Our team exists to encourage as many as possible to join thousands of others across the globe in our mission to bring life-changing, clean water and fullness of life to people in communities around the world. Beginning in 2024, Christ Community Church in Bloomington, IN started leading the Southern Indiana 6K for Water.
Support Our Cause
For every $50 raised by donors or participants of the Southern Indiana 6K for Water, World Vision will provide sustainable, clean water to a woman or child in the developing world. Our 2025 goal is to provide 300 individuals with hope for a brighter future by raising $15K. Click the button below to help us reach our goal!

Race Route
Check out our 2025 race route at Olcott Park in Bloomington. The Start line and Finish line locations are one and the same, located near the park's restrooms. The race begins with a counterclockwise loop around Olcott Park and then continues onto the Jackson Creek Trail, making a loop around the Goat Farm and following Jackson Creek Trail to East Rhorer Road. The route continues on South Sare Road past Jackson Creek Middle School to East Canada Drive and back to Olcott Park.

Event Sponsorship is available in three levels (Platinum - $1,000, Gold - $500 or Silver - $250) and includes your individual or business name on the reusable shopping bag given out at the event.
